I put Daisy who was neutered over 6 weeks ago on the floor for some exercise with one of my girls and since he was showing no interest I had a lapse in judgement and decided it would be ok to leave them alone while I went to go get my morning coffee and when I came back they where doing it  She is young and there was some blood on her vent when I checked-- can he get her pregnant do you think? I wonder why there was blood? Can sperm stay alive after neutering for over 6 weeks do you think? His testicles are completely shriveled up and gone. I really don't want her to be pregnant by him.

The internet fails to agree. More official sites say 2-3 weeks, no more than a month. Unofficially people are reporting their vet suggests 6 weeks with a few saying keep them apart for 8 weeks.

After 6 weeks you should be in the clear. :)

Rabbit sperm needs to be kept at a lower temperature than the body which is why the testicles are in scrotal sacks, so even if there was still sperm in his tubes it would be defective and unable to fertilize any eggs.

A doe that is very ready to breed will have a bright red or even purplish vulva that looks like blood. Could this be what you saw?

If you are certain it was blood then if it was dark it is likely remnants left over from the bucks neuter that were discharged during mating.

If the blood was fresh looking and bright red it was likely from the doe.
