How do you pronounce...

Being that I have never been around rabbit people and I have learned all I know online, some difficulty arises with certain words that could read more than one way so you aren't sure how to say them.

Just few off the top of my head (there will be more)...

How do you pronounce:

Agouti (uh-gout-ee, uh-gute-ee, some thing else?)

Thrianta - (try-anta, just like it looks? or some weird way?)

I can't post the letters of a dictionary definition key on this computer. A like about - goo like boot - ti like bee but regional variation is large with that word. The a may be uh or ah, the ou may even become got..

So... agouti I had correct, but not so with Thrianta!

...Which I have been pronouncing three-AN-ta.

It's tree-AN-ta?

For Thrianta-- I keep the softer sound created by the "h" 3-an-ta

haha! i've been pronouncing them as "uh-goo-tee" and "th-rye-ant-uh" well looks like i suck at pronouncing the real terms for things...

The "h" is silent in Thrianta, it IS tree-AN-ta.

I recently found out where agouti gets its name. There is an actual animal called an agouti, and lo and behold, agouti fur looks JUST like, well, an agouti! :lol:
