UPDATE!!!!

As Miss M suggested we added some apple juice to her water. What a change in our Holland Lop. She wouldn't quit drinking. I gave it to her in a small bowl and she didn't stop drinking for about 60 seconds. There was probably 1/2 cup water in the bowl. About 60 minutes later the bowl was empty.

I added some apple juice (about 5% juice and 95% water) to her 32 oz water bottle. Just noticed that she was drinking from that for a couple seconds.

So now the question is................. How much water is too much? Do we need to limit it? Does all this drinking mean anything???

Thank you again everyone for all your help and comments!!!

That's wonderful news!!! :bouncy:

I think she's just making up for not having been drinking anywhere near enough for a while now. It's pretty rare for a rabbit to actually drink too much, though it does happen, and it is an indicator for some sort of health problem if a rabbit suddenly starts drinking a lot more than it was before.

That's excellent, that she's responding to such a low concentration of juice, too. Less sugar to cause tummy troubles. Though, as we mentioned before, if it's between sugar and dehydration, you give the sugar and deal with any consequences later.

I think you have pulled your little Holland back from the brink. :) If you hadn't acted quickly, she might already be gone. :hooray:
