Holland lop just had 9 kits. Can she feed that many? What can we do to try and help them all survive? Thank you for your help!

Keep an eye on them. She may do ok. If you notice a few not getting fed, you can take the three largest out of the nest everyday and let the little ones get good feed. That way everyone gets fed at least every other day. That was recommended to me here and It has worked for me.

Congratz on the big litter and good luck!

depends on size of doe. but she should be just fine. :)

-- Sat Nov 07, 2015 12:18 am --

depends on size of doe. but she should be just fine. :)

My holland doe once raised a litter of 8 and they did just fine, but she's a pretty big holland, not tiny like the better quality ones. I actually wish she'd have another big litter like that, her last few litters have been small  .

Here they are.......... Less than 24 hours old. This is our first viewing of them since seeing the doe jump out of the nest box and quickly seeing them move to the back of the nest.

9 cute and strong little Hollands.
