Help- vent very swollen- photo

My mini lops vent is very swollen- does anyone know what is wrong. She is about 8 months old and has had 1 litter 10 weeks ago- all kits are gone and where weaned about 2 weeks ago.

doesn't look like breeding readiness to me, she's very pale. In my experience, if they are so ready that they're swelling up, they're usually red to purple in colour.

Maybe it could be that but - shouldn't it still be "leaf shaped"? I used to check her vent for readiness and even if it was pink and swollen it was still like a puffy leaf shape- now its puffy, not leaf shaped and the whole area around the vent is swollen too.

It may just be irritated...keep an eye on it for redness and discharge though.

It's either irritated - or she might have some kind of rabbit venereal disease I think. Today I looked at it again and theres sort of small crusty bumps in a spot on the side. But the over all swelling went down.

Ive noticed that if theyre ready to breed they are very smooth and swollen.
