I do not yet have the funds for an adequate setup, but I am doing as much research about raising rabbits for meat and fur and manure as possible. I am absolutely fascinated by this stuff and am very excited for the ability to begin raising them myself. This site looks like an absolute wealth of knowledge and I am eager to comb through the threads and learn!

Thanks, and can do! I suspect it will be at least another year or two before I can actually start building my setup and purchasing rabbits, but I do know that I want either american chinchillas, standard rexes, or both. (If i can find chinchilla rexes when i start buying i will be sooo happy, but opals and lilacs are also stunning.) Tanning is a hobby of mine so I want a breed that has nice fur, and having a sustainable ethical source of meat is the dream!
