I bred our doe exactly 16 days ago, and went out there to check on her this morning and she has a haystash allready?!
The buck fell of about 6 times and straight after being bred she started to go all grumpy like she usually does.
I just gave her some hay before and looked in her house area and she has started to pull fur! This is so annoying, It's what she did the first time we tried to breed her and she didn't take :(

So it sounds like this is just another false pregnancy- correct? Or can does start making nests extra early if they are actually pregnant?

I have 3 does bred and due in about a week now.
Doe 1 was carrying hay at day 23, and doe 2 at day 24.
Now they calmed down and no action yet. I am pretty sure they are bred.
Put them in with the bucks 2 days in a row.
Doe 3, the oldest mommy rabbit is just being calm. She likes her
nest box a lot. I hope she is bred. She is supposed to have 10 to 12
per litter and bring them through. So far, no hints from her.
I think they all have their own little personal routines.
I'm the one counting days and doing the pacing out there :)

Some does do, do it early. I know one rabbit who plays with her
nest preps daily after being bred. She knows babies are on the way.

So basically, she probably is pregnant but is just being extra prepared?
I think what caught me bye surprise was just the fact thatthe last litter (and the first litter shes had so far) the only sign that she was going to have them was that she went a bit of her food.
And the next morning there was a big huge fluffy nest with four popples in it :D

So hopefully another big litter this time too!

And good luck for your does as well! :)

No action here yet. I been doing what I can to get the 3 bred does moved from the garage into the bunny room, which is the addition to the garage. Plan is to put a blanket over the door opening. The garage is a good area, but when we take the vehicles in and out, that of course opens the big door and really cools things off fast. We have had colder than normal temps so far this winter. Been fighting with frozen water dishes again. Not good :(

I have one that builds her nest very early too. She has smaller litters but she always has healthy ones and raises them well. Wait and see, she may surprise you.
