It's always good to stop by and see what's hoppening at Rabbit Talk. I've been so busy I've neglected the chat, though not the buns. My rabbitry is growing by...yeah, hops and bounds. Chloe delivered 12 kits, 11 of which are still thriving 3 weeks later to the SF buck. They're all either black or very dark chestnuts. Ella just delivered 6 big fat Silver Fox / New Zealand cross kits (I'm really loving that cross for personality, fur, growth rate, etc). I have four at 5 pounds ready to go to freezer camp from her last litter...and Poppy decided to step it up on her last chance and just delivered 10 beautiful babies, half white and half black. Summer is due in two weeks and her 5 purebred Silver Fox kits thrived. I am going to need to build more cages. I think I'm fairly well established now with my original NZ doe, Ella, her two kits Chloe and Poppy and my Silver Fox, Summer. The two bucks are a SF, Sullivan and Ella's son, Zakk, NZ and FG cross. I started with just a pair of bunnies last year. Now, I cannot quite believe I have 36 rabbits in the barn!!! Yep, I'm addicted!

Nice too meet ya Im Seth....You got a nice thing goin there...Im alittle jelous..My addiction is on the brink of overflowing...Im eagerly awaiting my FG to kindle...just got into rabbits again after 5 yrs...I had a rabbitry for 10 years...got sick of it...now im relapsing...darnit why did I get rid of all my cages

Silly me! I forgot about the unspoken rule here that you can't talk about babies without showing proof you have them! Here are some snapshots for you of my popples! The last litter of Silver Fox/ New Zealand kits I just weighed yesterday and at 10 weeks, they're all 5.5 to 6 pounds each.

awww *sigh* I wish my Mini Lops would have some REWs. I've only have 2 REWS ever occur and only 1 was good enough to keep. That one had a whole litter of bkn sables, 1 bkn opal, and one smoke pearl.
