Has anyone tried these cages?

I don’t have those cages but do have a somewhat similar waste setup (I have coroplast boards angled underneath, attached to a gutter in front, the waste rolls/flows into the gutter or I scrape it down, then push to the end).
@ladysown is 100% correct that hay bogs down the whole system. It is a real pain in the neck. Compressed horse hay cubes solves that issue but adds expense (however I watch the buns toss the cubes around like toys, so they do serve as a boredom buster and they also help with teeth length, and those plus the lack of messing up my works make it worth the extra cost to me)

The other thing that bogs down the waste trays is fur! When mommas are pulling for nests, man it gums things up below. Not really much to do about that though.

I definitely see the appeal of those cages and if you can work out hay or if you only feed pellets, and if you have the funds, I’d probably go for it personally. In fact I’m in the middle of trying to maximize my space and am at the point of buying or building new so there’s a chance I’ll take the plunge lol
