Once I get my trio this summer is like to grow barley fodder. I've found a blog that the lady grows her fodder for 9 days (she has rotating trays) then feeds I think .5% of the rabbits weight. Here is a link to her step by step growing video: http://fmicrofarm.com/2013/04/07/step-b ... livestock/

But I'm wondering if anyone on here has feed their rabbits this way too. I just want to give my rabbits the best I can so I can get the best tasting meat.

Guess I just didn't look deep enough.

You would be hard pressed to find a topic regarding rabbits that hasn't been discussed on this forum. :D

I would be that lady. ;)

I feed 6% of each rabbit's body weight in 8-9 day sprouted barley fodder daily. My French angoras average 9.5 pounds so most of my adults are fed about .57 pounds of fodder a day. I also feed a 1/4 cup of black oil sunflower seeds, free choice hay, and a mineral salt block.
