harlequin lionhead

I I have 2 harlie does (orange/black) ....that I'm wanting to breed soon...I have a nice black or blue buck..all DM.....would you use either??.... I don't have a harlie buck at the moment but hoping to soon

What are you shooting for? Either buck will give you all solids. You will probably get some harlequins from either buck (black, blue, chocolate. lilac possibly depending on what they carry). If you're wanting tri colors, will need a different buck in tri or an agouti base preferably out of tri/harlequin for best coloring.

Harlequins are agouti based (well, except torted harlies ) so when bred to a self black or blue they will likely just produce chestnuts and harlequinized chestnuts.

Do you know if either of the bucks carries non extension or has tort or sable point in their pedigree ? If so then you should get some harli kits as well
