Miss Marie was bleeding profusely when I came into the rabbitry this morning.
Due yesterday with no signs of impending Kindling, and she'd only accepted the buck once and grudgingly at that so I assumed she wasn't pregnant.
Anyways, So much blood that I thought something was seriously wrong with her.
I kept an eye on her during chores, she ate, she drank, she horsed around with her next door neighbour....growl/box/I"m bigger than you type stuff which was rather odd for her. Overall seemed fine just the blood loss thing.
Decided I'd keep a close eye on her this morning. Went out 1/2 hour later to find her kindling.
She had six... all but two are very large kits. One was DOA (very bruised) one was barely breathing but appears to be coming around and the rest seem to be doing well. She pulled no fur, her bleeding has stopped at this point, but she seems content.
All in all a good days work for her, but not sure that breeding her again would be a great idea or not. I'll see how she pulls through with this litter. Those kits are just BIG kits.
