Getting a new buck

I'm pretty excited. I'm going to be getting my first pedigreed MR. His a broken chocolate. This is how it all came about me getting him. I have non-pedigreed MR's that I'm selling to people that might want a nice soft pet. Well I have a ad on my fb and was posting updated pics of the little ones and had a nice lady comment. She asked me if I was wanting to work with mini rex. I told her yes. I love this breed. I fell in love with it way back when I was 12 or so then mine died. I finally found some just a year ago which are the 2 I have now. I never knew rabbits had pedigrees until afterwards. She then messaged me telling me about how she has a broken chocolate that she is selling for 30 with full pedigree. And if I'm interested in him she could trade me. I didn't know what to really say to that. I asked her what she meant by that and she said rabbit for a rabbit. I was surprised. I told her mine rabbits aren't pedigreed. She then told me if I'm 100% sure I want to work with the breed I will do it to help you get started in the right way. I couldn't believe what I was seeing a lady I don't even know basically going to give me a full ped rabbit she could sell and make money off of for one of my non- ped babies. I told her that was the most nices sweets thing someone has ever wanted to do for me. She told me she has had so many people help her out that she was willing to others. I still can't believe it. I guess there are some nice people out there. So once I get him my niece will have a rabbit to show once she is old enough to be put in 4h. Will post pics of him once I get him.

She just messaged me saying she went out to feed them and found a him died because of a dang possum. She told me if I wanted she can send me some pics of the babies she has but I don't know now. My niece is going to be a little sad because she was wanting him she even already named him rhino. Well we shall see. If I do decided on getting a baby I will post pics of it up.

Yeah it sucks. She sent pics of all of them both bucks and does. I'm waiting for my niece to wake up to pick which one she likes. Right now I like buck 1 from her first litter and doe3 from her third litter. Both broken chocolates. She told me also both litters are sired by the one that I was suppose to get but got killed by the possum. Here are pics of buck 1 and doe3. I keep looking at all of them and I'm stuck. I don't know which one I like the most because there all cute.

just personal opinion as I really know nothing about mini rex, but I like the broken pattern on the doe better and they seem really little to be able to judge much yet, but she seems to have a nicer shape. You are right though, they are both CUTE!

Thanks. I was leaning more towards the doe also. Well my niece woke up from her nap and took a look at the babies. She ended up picking Doe3. So I just messaged the lady telling her we all like doe3.

Doe #3 is pretty dang stunning, especially for a wee baby!!! Congrats!!! Sorry about that first bun, possums can be nasty critters. Just ROTTEN luck.
