Me too. I do have a smart phone, but the stone tablets come in handy when I feel the need to bang my head in frustration when technology foils my pitiful attempts at communication yet again.

No smart phone for me... I just upgraded my dumb phone (9 years old!! ) to one that had a few more IQ points, but still not enough to classify as "smart" ;) :geek: . DH has an iphone for work, but he won't be home until later so it'll have to wait I guess. I'll keep tinkering with the card readers... my computer is limping along thanks to my youngest (well, all 4 actually) - I am on my 3rd charger, busted USP port(s), card reader broken out of it (to the point I actually had to take it apart to fish 2 SD cards out of it... the first one got jammed in, the second because I didn't know about the first and went to stick another in and it went straight through :slap: ), no more touchpad mouse (and it's fun trying to keep up with a wireless one!), etc.

-- Wed Jun 24, 2015 4:24 pm --

OK, finally got it to work! :flex: I guess I hadn't wiggled the cord just the right way before...

Here is the area where the skin is pretty thick, and you can see the unevenness of his coat overall...

This is one of the worst spots I could find (and actually far worse than what I realized... before I was just seeing the dandruff-y stuff, and could tell there were areas where he was losing hair... this is the first I have seen the scaly skin).

Looks like Ivermectin is the treatment for that as well? I got some today, attempted to give him some... hopefully he got enough in
Use an insulin syringe with a removable needle. Needle on to draw up the correct amount for your rabbit. Take the needle OFF an place the tip of the syringe in the corner of the rabbits mouth and give a slow push on the plunger. Repeat in about 10 days. Works every time. ;)

I think it squirted out through the other side, but I know he got some of it....

I appreciate this thread. One of the V Lops I just got appears to have fur mites, as it has lots of dandruff and a spot of scaley skin on his back in the shoulder blade area.
I powdered him down liberally with DE a couple days ago.
Trying to decide if I should invest in the invermectine also or wait another week and do the DE again. How soon should I notice an improvement in the amount of dandruff if the DE is being effective?
Thanks.
