We have some some ground rabbits that free-range. My question is, do rabbits know to avoid plants that are poisonous to them? We would like to plant some Elderberry shrubs, which I know rabbits shouldn’t eat, but since we free-range, we wouldn’t be able to keep them away. Will they avoid them, or are we going to kill our rabbits by planting them?
