Found dead doe :(

So I found my best doe dead when I went out to feed. Nothing seemed off except this. Its not spotty exactly. Everyone else is fine. She still had food and water left. She was bred almost a month ago but was not pregnant. So something was going on that she wasnt catching, could this be it?

Wow, those lungs do not look normal.

They should be smooth and very light pink. Those look almost lumpy, with darker pink and red.

I think she had pneumonia or something. That is probably why she missed.

Aww, so sorry, Whipple.

I have never seen lungs quite like that- when mine look bad, there are really dark blood spots, or sometimes a grey tinge to some of the tissue.

There is quite a bit of fat around her heart, too. Was she pretty heavy?

Yeah that doesn't look right. Really sorry, always sucks to lose a good rabbit.

She had barely any fat at all. A bit around her kidneys, and a bit around her heart. Nothing like: be seen on does who have produced or younger ones we've butchered to eat. So the fat really isn't that much.

I wish I knew, everyone else seemed fine.
