found breeder

I posted on a Facebook group about my cream D'Argent doe trying to find the breeder. I got a reply saying that it was was from her kids breeding. She said they were to be slaughtered or returned to her. She asked me to Pm her. This was on the 10th. I immediately sent her a message. So far I have not heard back. I would hate to bother her but am most anxious to talk to her. Should I send her another message and offer to buy the pedigrees? If so how much should I offer? Since I got a sibling group do I just pay for 1? I have someone wanting to buy 3 or more if I can get their pedigrees. She is even offering to send me a check to hold them and they are still in nest. Asked if I hold till early August she would pay extra.

I would send her another message and explain that you would like to get the pedigree(s), and that you have a buyer lined up for some of the kits. I wouldn't mention money, leave that to her.

I agree with MSD, if she wants any money for them let her set the price, and go from there.

A pedigree should be no more than $5.00 each. That's what I was quoted anyway, but the breeder gave them to me for free.

FWIW, I wouldn't mention that there's a buyer on the line. That would just raise the price. You might say you're interested in more though.

It could also be an online setup. I know at least one mod on the Facebook Satin board who changed her screen name to prevent some nut jobs from harassing her after reading about her operation. They went so far as to threaten her before she did so.

I sent the breeder another message and let her know I am looking for another buck. Another breeder I know local also knows her. She does have creams and lives in the area Where the fair is that they were abandoned at. Hopefully I hear from her soon.
