in my limited exposure to the various colors, I am going with 2 broken lilac, 2 lilac and one REW

Just based on pictures of Lilacs the breed, I would say that is too dark for Lilac. (The top bun, anyway.) Maybe seal, chocolate, even? Sable? I don't know, but not Lilac. The only one of the those colors I've personally had experience with is Sable (and the martinized version at that,) and it really doesn't look to have the shading for that.

in the daylight they look to have that pink quality that people use to describe lilac... but I am definitely not an expert at this...

I guess looking at a few more pics, it could just be a blue.

will do, actually unfortunately, one of the brokens appears to have hopped out of the nest box last night sometime.... very cold and stiff this morning. Pretty sure the kit is dead, but I have it warming up on a rice sock just in case...

OK, well of the surviving kits, the other one is REW... these three are the ones that I don't really know what to call them. I lost one recently too--it managed to get into the adjacent empty cage, and couldn't get back. I knew I needed kit gaurds on that big mesh, but then I forgot....

OK, what color are those first two? Are they the same color?

The last one seems like a broken blue, but seems like a kind of a dark blue to me...

Any assessments appreciated...
