Feeding orphans

Meet Solstice the lone survivor...I found him early this morning.


Mom and litter mates didn't make it.

We are feeding kitten milk replacer with a tiny bit of heavy cream. 5cc/feeding, 2x day. He's living in a small box in the Eco2pia Jr.'s room (kid is 18, well versed in nursing baby bunnies).

Tomorrow I'll weigh him. Thought a record might be helpful.

He weighs between 60-65 grams. My scale is not as precise as I would like.

Sorry you lost the doe and other kits. That really hurts. Your orphan looks quite plump, which should give him a better chance than some. Hope he makes it!
