Best company to buy show carriers from? Or is anyone by chance wanting to sell some? For Satins, 8-9lbs. One person was going to try and make some here in Alaska, but due to working conditions is not taking new orders until spring. Would like 3 or 5 hole. Thanks

A 5 hole of 8 lb rabbits is going to be 50 lbs and bulky. It would probably not clear doorways well. 2, 3 holes would be a lot easier to handle. I have a locally made 4 hole sized for champagne d'argent and we rarely carry it with rabbits and never again through a crowded show room. Usually we leave it in the back of the SUV and carry rabbits to it. I like the bass equipment carriers but they have limited options.

The breeder I know with the 5 holes stacks them three high on a flat bed wagon and pulls them around. Seemed to work well for her  I need to figure out a better shipping option anyway. It's $130-150 for a $40 carrier
I have heard rumors of people having online orders shipped to the port in Seattle, then having it put on the barges as freight for cheaper. Not positive on the logistics of this though. A lot of people up here just use small dog/cat airline carriers, but I'm finding them rather cumbersome because you can only carry 2 at a time. They aren't cheap up here either even on CL, cheaper than $200 though lol. Maybe I need to try stacking them on a wagon, hmmm

I got some from Woodys Wabbits because his shipping charges were much less than some of the others, I don't know about Alaska though. Also bunnyrabbit.com has partially assembled carriers that are much cheaper on the shipping because they're not oversized.

I used to have stuff shipped up on the barge all the time. Loved it. Took a bit longer but saved a ton of money. I had an account with NorthLand Services and it made it a lot easier.
