Eye color question.

Does a red eyed white bunnies eyes look red when they first open or do they look dark then turn red? I have 2 white French lop kits who's eyes opened yesterday, but instead of looking red they look dark. I know time will tell but I'm just curious....

Its possible you might have frosted pearls instead of red-eyed whites if they have dark eyes

Here's a picture of the kit. It's eyes are defenatly dark the other kit looks exactly the same. Is frosted pearl the same as ermine?

those are not red eyes,
Red eyes are red right away from my experience. Only eyes I've seen change are blue eyes cause some times, when it's going to be a half blue half brown iris, they open as just brown and the blue starts showing slowly over time.
I don't know much about frosted pearl other then the fur color will get greyish as they get older, so this is a case of wait a little I think.
