Moved the cages that were in front of my sliders OUT today--put the two momma buns and their litters in the two cages that have been sitting empty. I figured the 2 week old litter is fat enough, and furred enough, that even these 50 degree nights won't bother them. Both litters spent the day exploring their 'new' surroundings- to help make space at the dinner table- I put two chick feeders to use-- believe it or not-- all 8 of Wilma's kits can now feed without crowding each other out! I am hoping the younger kits get a handle on water bottle usage before the weather heats up again-- I won't put a crock in the cage with kits until I am sure they can get out of it if they should wind up 'in the drink' I would like to use my founts, but can't get the bottles to stay upright enough for them to work right.
