Anyone familiar with the Evans Rabbit Software now which color you would select for just plain old wild Agouti color? Its a mixed rabbit so I realize that the genetics might not be totally accurate, but their is just so many "agouti" colors to choose from on the expanded list. I have no clue which one to pick!

Thanks Dood! Will see if that helps. Some other color questions with pics to make it easier hopefully.
Mom is the blond Agouti, not sure what color to label her as, for the software. When I mate her to my solid blues she always throws half wild agouti and half the marten/otter color. What would they be silver martens-black (looking at available names on software)? At first I thought they were otters, but the tan/orange is only around the edges and then fades to light cream.

The mom is just a lighter shade of black agouti - if the software has a "Rufus" or "Rufus factor" option she would be "+++"

If she produces otters when bred to self based bucks she must carry that gene and be Aat B_ C_ D_ E_

The kits are black otters - silver martens lack all yellow or brown pigments. It is normal for otters to be lighter around the eyes and belly

For wild agouti choices, I'm thinking choice 1.

1) Chestnut (Black) Caster/Copper/ (Brown) Gray- A B C D E

2) Frosted Pearl- Black(Agouti)- A B c^chd D ee

What is frosted pearl? All sorts of different color sub categories under frosted pearl.

lol wish the program came with example pictures. What a task that would be putting together

__________ Wed Feb 04, 2015 12:35 pm __________

Okay, after posting my last question I reread your answer Dood, and it already answered my question  Still trying to figure out the genotype thing.

I will get her offspring entered and see if it corrects mom's genotype to the Aa^t and then I will know I'm on the right track :runaround:
