Fellow English lop or other large breed rabbit breeders, how long is the gestation period of your does?
The end of last year I set out to add english Lops to my rabbitry. I got a broken blue otter buck and looked everywhere nearby for a doe (which theres very few breeders that I could find in AZ). So I looked further out and found a self blue doe in TN and a reliable transport making a run. The breeder also had another unrelated blue buck, which I jumped on. Fast forward, I bred the 2 blues (since my broken otter wasn't quite old enough). On day 28 I put nest box in and a bunch of hay, the doe immediately started nest building, which lead me to think she would have them on day 30, I'm now on day 32 and other then getting the hay all tucked she hasn't pulled hair yet. I've been breeding angoras for several years now, but usually the latest they birthed was day 31. I understand rabbit gestation time varies, but thought while I eagerly waited I'd get input from other elop or large breed breeders.
