They are chainsaws with fur.

That's a wodent wheel with nearly the entire front and track chewed off over night.
 
I guess the gerbils will only be getting metal wheels from now on! :lol:
 
Problem is it has to have an enclosed area over the spoke otherwise their tails can get caught and stripped to the bone. It's hard to find metal wheels like that.
 
I lost a baby gerbil's tail that way once. The whole thing just pulled right off and left this hamster-sized stump. Really gross, and the poor thing was in a lot of pain for a week or more.
 
Sheesh! How many gerbils did that??
Dunno about gerbil needs, but I don't even give my mice wheels - they just get branches to climb on. Just rearrange everything on cleaning day and they have a blast! lol I'd rather sticks I can burn than a wheel I have to clean anyway... :lol:
