I have a colony with four does. They were all bread within the last 6 weeks. Scruffy had a littler of 3 kits last week, very small for her. I was away for the weekend and came home to find Scruffy's nest full of babies :p , but one of the other does, Kiwi, was tending to them and not letting Scruffy into the nest.

Scruffy is a American REW/Black Rex mix and Kiwi a California, the buck a New Zealand REW. Most of the new babies are black with only 1 or 2 white.

Kiwi still looks pregnant to me, so this whole thing is a mystery.

Can a doe have a litter over 4-5 days? Do does share nests?

:?: :?: :?:

Does can and will share nests...it is common with colony style setups, or at least with the people I know that have colonies.

Does can have litters over several days, but in my experience mines don't live. Others have had better success.
