I just got 2 pedigreed young Flemish, the person I got them from said the male was more show quality than the female. Could someone show me pictures of what everything that gets judged should look like?

__________ Tue Jul 17, 2012 11:07 am __________

Help anyone?

I've been a lurker long before I joined and started answering threads. I do not remember seeing anyone who breeds them, other than a few meat breeders. I would send you to Dan & Lisa at Gentle Giant Rabbitry (http://www.gentlegiantrabbitry.com/). I know they show alot and would be a great resource for you.

Wish I could help, but my flemish boy is not a purebred. But he's taking after his Daddy (Full Flemish) and has that sweet gentle way about him.

You have been given good suggestions already. You could also join a Flemish Club. I did with my Lion heads, and have gotten so much help, so much info, it was worth it. ARBA may have the SOP, but others who raise and show will be an excellent resource for you.

Good Luck!

I don't have FLemish but I found ARBA Judges conference videos and this Judge is explaining semi-arch type and mandolin body. He uses a few different breeds during the video. here is the link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EI9j_DqBsRk

There are other Judges' videos too that are interesting.

Just make sure to turn your sound way up. It can be a little hard to hear, lots of background noise.
