I have an indoor pet Lop doe, that has 4 little ones at the moment.
They are 4 weeks old. I notice the doe feeds them about 8-45-9pm at night, but she hesitates if I am in view. It's in the room where & when I am watching TV, so I move out of her view & then she will let them feed.

Just wondering why that is :) ?

Rabbits don't normally feed in front of anyone or anything. It's an instinct to protect their litter by not letting on that they even HAVE kits...:) Some of us are lucky enough to have does that will feed in front of us, but by and large, a lot of folks don't see their does nursing the kits.

That is completely normal. Just those natural instincts coming through.
In the wild, rabbits only feed there babies once or twice a day, and the rest of the time the try stay AWAY from the nest. They know that if they were to hang around the nest site, they will attract predators. So they just know to stay away as much as possible.

Nursing babies is a vulnerable position for a doe, so she won't feed them unless she feels completely safe. I have many does that will avoid feeding or being around their kits when I am around.
Just depends on the doe
