I have two does due on saterday. Yesterday I gave them the nest boxes. This am oneof the does had pooped and peed in hers. I removed it, and all of the hay and washed it. But now I don't want to put it back. Because I am gonna be pissed if I have to keep cleaning it out and wasting hay, as it's not cheap. Do I just wait till she is due? I am not even positive she is bred, as for all I know buck was heat steril. The other doe has not messed herd up, but isn't intrested in it either.

I would put the nest box in 2 to 3 days before the due date. If she poops/pee's in it---it will be ok. You do have the bottom where if she pee's in it--the liquid can drain out?

The guy I got her from said 5 days before, so if she goes on day 28 or something. It does have holes, and the pee did run out. I just feel like it's a wast.

My friends said day 25. But I think I am going to leave it out and put it back on thursday, and see if she behaives properly.

Does she already have a litter box in her cage? If she doesn't you could give her a litter box to poo in and then after she's pooed in it put the nest box in. I always put my nest box in day 29 and have never had a problem.

I have 20x10 boxes with a 5x5 opening that hang over the door opening or sit in the cage 24/7 and i don't have a problem of my does using them as litter boxes.

I don't know if its just my bloodline or the type of nest boxes I use.

She is an outside rabbit in a hutch and is not litter box trained.

She is also a proven doe, and I am using purchased nest boxes that are the same nest boxes as previous owners used. So she should know what it is.
