Is this normal? I put the nest box in just in case, hopefully she will make the nest in there instead of where she is making it now.

She probably has a false pregnancy. They seem to nest build right around 2 weeks when they have a false pregnancy. Occasionally they are actually pregnant and attempt to build a nest at 2 weeks then give it up until they reach their due date. That 2 week mark seems to cause a spike in hormones. In the colonies it's the time they are most likely to start fights with other rabbits. You don't need to give her a box now if you are confident of the breeding date. Even if any kits come out now they would not be formed enough to survive. You'll likely just end up with her soiling your nest box so you have to scrub it before she's actually due.
