Doe lost whole litter

Hi everyone, unfortunately my doe lost her litter of 7 1.5 week old kits yesterday ( not her fault, some improvements need to be done on my end) but as soon as removed the dead kits she started build a new nest, so I don’t know if I should put her nest bock back in for a bit or allow her to bald herself. My other question is how to do I prevent mastitis? Any help is greatly appreciated thanks!

She's still under remote control from her hormones, I would just let her act out her urges.

I don't think mastitis is likely, but maybe feeding some mint might help a little to reduce milk flow,

I worried about mastitis since my doe lost her two. No problems though, she would let me know if she was sore when I pick her up. She seems happy to not be pregnant We're taking September off.

Did her nipples have the hair rubbed off? I lost a whole litter of 5 from my previously unproven NZ doe. It was her first litter and she did not produce milk, barely had suckling on her nipples. It was very sad, tried to get the other doe to foster/ wet nurse but she mostly refused to do it on her own.

Also, what improvements need to be made? Can we get some more details on that?
