And that is why it should be 30-36 days, not 35. If I had pulled the box yesterday, there would be no chance.

She's got shavings, shredded paper, and some grass I pulled up from the yard. She had her mouth stuffed with paper, so I figured the grass would be nicer.

Fresh grass will wilt and rot, I would not put that in the nest box. Shavings, fur and shredded paper will be just fine.
 
Its not exactly fresh.....its from last fall. Snow finally melted enough. Should I remove it?

Edited: I removed the grass.
