I'm going on a trip & need to get a carrier. I'll be gone 6 months, so no chance of leaving her behind. I need to have the smallest possible carrier, because I have to walk for about a half hour during the trip, which will take about 3 1/2-4 hours in all. I don't think she will be calm enough to stretch out in the carrier, so I think I need a carrier just big enough for her sitting, plus water & food. Comments? :?:

Minimum size for 3 1/2 hours would be okay. That's not long at all.

If you can use a cart you may find it useful and more comfortable. Or use a strap to hang the cage on your person. Trying to hold cage by the skinny handle for 1/2 hour would be difficult for me.

Have a good day!

When we moved, I don't recall seeing a single rabbit stretched out. They were all in their little "meatloaf" positions -- lying down upright. They stayed very still and calm for the whole trip. :)

RabbitGeek! Haven't seen you in ages!

I'll be pulling cart with my own necessities, so I'm thinking I'll fasten the wire carrier inside a mesh backpack. I'm an older Baby Boomer, so have to go minimal.

Of course, the car ride our buns experienced was a bit different from the walking you'll be doing. Here's hoping everything goes well! :clover:
