I call this one paleface. It looks to be blond in color. The dam is a chocolate and the sire is a chocolate otter. I got three chocolate otters, two big chocolates, a chocolate runt and this oddball.
Could it be a tort of some sort? Just looks blond to me.phpSeHXWpAM.jpg

Here is this baby now. She is a blond all over except for her nose, and legs which have a blue tint to them. The buck she was bred to was a choc. otter.
There is noting in either pedigree all the way back but blue, black, chocolate and blue otters. The owner of the doe before just does not know why she would pass this color.
I don't know my rarer colors in rex yet, so am not sure if I am seeing a tort or some shade of lynx. When I see lynx pics, I see a subltle blue shade on the body. This gal has the subtle blue
shade on her nose and legs. My camera just won't pick it up much at all either in shade or full sun. When I look at her I think there is a fawn rabbit trying to turn blue.

Here is a sun shot showing a slight band of color on her side. Its just a little darker blond/red color.phpHEfVq0AM.jpg

Dood's right, it can't be lynx because lynx has agouti marks, white eye circles, inside ears and belly color.

The first two pics really look like some kind of tort, maybe chocolate or lilac tort?

I think we need even more pics. Maybe a face and belly shot in sunlight would help?

we will try later. Took fifty pics to get these two. The camera just will not pick up the blue in the muzzle and the legs that I can see really easy. White under tail, and white undercoat on belly. The pic in the shade actually looks much more like her than the pic in the sun. The sun just washes everything to white. No sable, tort, red, or caster in her pedigree. I would be thrilled if this is not a lilac tort.

She's pretty! No idea on color though...

For pics, overcast days are easiest. Direct sun doesn't do well, and the tarp/shade cloth or whatever that green is in the one pic will likely cast a hue as well. If you have a white sheet that would likely work well... go under some trees for some filtered shade if it's sunny, or take pics at dawn/dusk.

Will get pics this weekend. Got her out and and handled her today, her ears are now totally that light dove grey like her muzzle and legs.
She really is a pretty thing. One of the bigger ones in the bunch wouldn't you know. Reminds me of a Siamese cat with blue points.
