Soot's litter of three is 16 days old today. Super fat & chubby. The two blacks seem good, eyes open, clean vents, warm & active.
However, the blue kit has super clear-colored crusty eyes, flaky skin, yellow crusty around vent. Active, warm, & fat but its almost like one eye is missing. Except with a little digging through the fur I did find a crusty matted area. Strangely nose looked okay? I have way more experience with dogs than rabbits, so I will say it reminded me of a yeasty dog, or "cocker crud."
Current plan is to check again on Sunday, try & clean with warm water, keep inside to see if it stays clean & until it dries. We are below freezing temps now.
Any thoughts?

The dilution gene is known to cause skin issues in many species of animals and rabbits are no exception. They often have digestive tract problems as well.

Gently wipe the eye clean and try to keep it open.

If he seems fine in other ares then hopefully the blue kit out grows his these issues

Did a warm water soak on eyes and vent, and then wiped clean. Its been 24 hours & hasn't gotten goopy or crusty again. Can at least see movement out of both eyes. Here's hoping for a healthy bunny. :clover:
