I know you're not supposed to, says practically every website devoted to rabbit breeding. However, I can't find a lot of specific information for what you would get when you choose to cross them anyway. Mine are meat mutts, so no worries about showing. I don't care what colors are recognized. I am interested what colors I might get... because I like colors.
Siamese buck from a chocolate and a black tort (who had a siamese parent)
cross with
Chestnut agouti doe from a chinchilla and black tort (who had a chestnut parent)
What might I get? Could I end up with a shaded agouti? Might they make torts?
What if I cross the Siamese to a chinchilla doe (sister of the chestnut, so same color parents)?
Any chance I could end up with a super light chinchilla or a shaded chinchilla? Some other variation of chinchilla besides the norm?
With a siamese buck that has a chocolate gene, what could I cross him with to maximize the number of color possibilities in the nestbox?
