The lop, looks like a Holland Lop appears to be in a molt. There are a few Lop people on forum that can give you opinions on him. The Dwarf I would say is "pet quality" very hard to tell with one pic. It only cost a few $$ to put them in a show thou and get a judges opinion, if you have a show close to you I'd do that. Besides you might find some nice show quality buns and someone might be just looking for what you have.

I am thinking of putting them in a show on Sep 15. The netherland comes from registered stock, but seems big for the breed. Yes, the holland is molting, his dam did very well in the show ring according to the pedigree, I am new to this so just curious as to what I have:)

i don't think the nethie is worth showing. ears look fairly big and they need to be small (1.5 inches if I recall correctly).

the holland lop, hard to tell.

I really cant tell from that picture.not posed right and i need too see a full on head shot.Width of head is everything. How old.bucks heads will grow.we used too wait up too two years for full head growth.i wait 7 months if i like the body.Pedigrees do not equal show quality.(The Netherland dwarf buck.)

If You take them to a show.... You would have the opportunity to listen to a judge's comments on Your rabbits. The entry fee is a small price to pay to have someone go over Your rabbits. The judge will also comment on Good points as well as not so good points. Then You can make decisions for the future.

( most of us started with less than stellar representatives of our preferred breeds... and worked from there.)

I agree with taking them to the show. Being in molt isn't a big deal if you are not concerned with placement, and just want an evaluation. I have only gone to two shows, but I would hear judges comment "this rabbit is either going into or coming out of molt", but they still gave an evaluation of the other aspects of the rabbit.

Both shows I attended were "double" shows, so two different judges looked at my animals. With entry fees of $3 per show here in CA, I felt it was well worth the price! :)

Honestly the netherland dwarf looks pet quality. The holland is cute, I would see what the judge says about him.

I think the Netherland is more pet quality than anything else (cute though!). I like your buck's head, ears,& crown. I think his biggest fault would be his overall type. He seems very long in the body and weak in the shoulder. Then again, it maybe be because he needs a little work posing. Check out the Nature Trail Website and Blog. They were a big Holland Lop breeder and have a wealth of information. Here's a picture and link for what to look for with your holland and how to pose so you can evaluate better.

I'd show him and see what feedback from the judge correlates. If you feel like it's a lot to work on and you have the funds, look at different breeder's rabbits.

I think some of my best purchases have been trusty, good tempered brood animals (Easy to foster & great mothers). They normally throw me better quality then themselves when paired with a nice buck that counters her weaknesses. They are worth their weight in gold ;) Usually cheaper too!

Hollands and Netherlands are difficult to pose.you usually start them
young but even with older rabbits, you have to slowly coax and work them in position. The link explains leg and feet placement. Practice makes perfect! Take many pictures. Just don't try to force a frame because you might be hinding faults. Look at other nice show Hollands. It helps you build an eye for a good and not so good animal.

Great job! I'd take him to a show :) Probably give him a nice grooming but don't worry about bringing a molting rabbit to a show. Judges understand xD I'd take him and see how he does.He seems a little lacking in the fullness of the hindquarters, but I think he look quite nice. Keep working at posing so he gets used to it ;)
