Crazy Kits

Okay, how the heck do you keep your kits in the hutch when you open the door These bunnies are insanely fast and don’t understand there’s a limit/edge to the cage. And it’s made worse when there is 7+ of them coming to the door to greet you. We had one jump out its fine, LOL. But, my goodness, how do you keep these carefree, hoppy little bunnies from jumping out when you open the door. I’m outnumbered to block them all. We have outdoor hutches, not like they’d be contained in a barn if they did jump out. We’d have to be really fast to catch them.

What kind of door/opening does the hutch have?

I would put a barrier on the inside of the cage blocking the exit, like a board or wire, so you can still reach in over the board, but they are less likely to run straight out.
