Rachel has always had exactly 9 kits at every breeding till the last one. That time she had one really huge kit that was born dead; probably because it took so long to get out, and two normal sized ones. I'm afraid the huge kit may have harmed her somehow but we're just getting into the hot season and I prefer not to breed till it starts to cool off. I guess I just cross my fingers and hope for the best.
