all are meat kits around 2-2.5 months old.

Siamese sable. Name: DuskPoppy, female.

silver tipped steel???? Name: Night's Cry, female
Started off black, has tipped fur coming in on sides. She's real pretty in real life, just doesn't show so well in pics.

Blue chin I THINK... kinda rusty coloured over his shoulders/saddle, but the rest is a light blueish grey colour.
Name: BluePond, male

Black Chinchilla Name: SilverCloud, female

so how did I do???

I am super excited about the chins as I've been wanting to breed chin meat rabbits for a while and I've never had a good one survive to 2.5 months...they always have health issues when weaned. But these two stayed healthy.. even had to cull one that I simply couldn't justify keeping. So fingers crossed that in two months I'll be breeding CHINS!!!!!

Pretty!
I want to play :)
I think Siamese Sable for #1, too.
#2 ~ could it be gold tipped steel? It may be the picture and the yellows and reds making it appear more brownish than silverish.
I had an 8 week GTS leave last week and looked pretty much the same, but tips were definitely gold~ so you can tell better on yours in person :)
#3 cutie, but I don't know Chin ;)

Night's Cry is out of red doe (looked NZR) and a black chin buck. I didn't expect steel and can't quite figure where it came from.

DuskPoppy looked black all the way through as a kit, and in the past two weeks has changed dramatically. I did not expect this colour change and am delighted by it.

What will be the result you think if I bred these two to the blue chin buck?

I'll be interested in what the experts say!
Night's cry~ could your black chin buck really be a steel?
I got the GTS when breeding my Light Gray Flemish buck to my harli FG cross... turns out my buck was actually a very light steel, not light gray at all (despite that being what the breeder believed down her line), and the Light Gray would equal Black Chin, I think?

My surprise Siamese Sable kit (out of a Cali buck and chestnut mutt doe) looked lilac at birth and then went dark grey and is now getting dark points at 4+ weeks and lots of light tips.

I think your results will vary depending on whether this is steel on Night Cry and what the blue chin buck is hiding?

Siameses sable /black sable

Silver tipped steel / steel chinchilla

Shagouti / sable agouti / sable chin (not sure if it is dilute/blue or not )

chinchilla
