mom: Siamese sable
Dad: Chocolate

looked grey as a baby. Now getting points.

being sold to a breeder home so I need to know what colour to put on the pedigree.

Rest of litter: black (2) and siamese sable (1).

are there differences in shading with siamese sables?

I am used to them starting out dark, then turning a silvery colour when about a week old, and then gradually darkening again.

This is dad

This is mom

this is the sibling group

black, siamese sable, this kit, black

WOW those are some VERY dark Siamese sables (aa B_ cchl (ch or c) D_ E_) and I'd say seals (as B_ cchl cchl D_ E_) instead

But if your lines have a lot of dark modifiers this might actually be a very dark sable point (aa B_ cchl_ D_ ee)

do you think mom is a seal then instead of a siamese sable?

making her kit black, seal, siamese sable and black?

i don't have those colours in my herd. So no... I can't do that.

shucks...

Ah well... that explains why she looked so different from the siamese sables I have (in my meat buns) and why the kit has had me so confused about it's colouring....

I didn't really want seals, but I guess that's what I have....

So i guess that explains why I didn't get what i expected off the other look-a-like doe.

hmm....

so...now I really wish it was a doe and not a buck.

Ah well, life is what it is....
