I recently had a litter and was wondering if somebody could help me confirm the colors. The mother is a black steel and the father is a blue self. I’ll attach a picture of the litter together. Both parents are single maned large breed mixes, about 10 pounds each. I believe I have two black self, one is a single mane and the other no mane. Two blue self with single manes. One chestnut double mane. One black steel with no mane. And a lighter blue I believe may be a blue steel? These are all guesses based on reading about the colors and comparing them to pictures I’ve seen online.

I find with my steels they get more "steelyness" for lack of a better term as they get older. It's actually fun watching it come in. You may just need to give that bun another couple of weeks..

Yes I can see he’s gotten a bit more of that lighter coloration the older he gets. They’re about a month old now

One of my steels at 8 weeks. At birth looked like a dark chestnut.... as aged she looks like this.

He’s so cute! One of mine is definitely a steel like him. I also have another one that’s chestnut and has the light ears and the light rings around the eyes. Here’s a picture of my steel at 3 weeks.
