Color identification?

Would you consider this buck a black or blue magpie? His mother was a Californian and his father was a tricolored rex/nz cross.
All these pictures are of him at various stages. His siblings from the same litter were magpie charlie, a broken tan/pale orange color kit, broken tort, tort, and another buck was marked like him but much more sparsely. I do have a few pictures of the rest of the litter if that would help.

I don't see blue. Just looks like a broken magpie to me.

you can clearly see of him in the natural light, he's a black magpie. About what I would expect with what the other kits in the litter are.
