Color/Fur question

Well, I suppose I can start off with the Creme d'Argents, skin, tan and let my MIL experiment with the hides to see if they'll work for her projects. I don't think she's overly concerned with consistency of colors between pelts, given that some uniqueness will add credibility to it being genuine rabbit fur. I just don't want them to shed!

If you want the very best prime pelts, time your breeding so that when the kits are 4-6 months old, it will be the coldest time of the year in your area. Winter brings on heavier pelts, and junior pelts are prime at the 4-6 month age.

my MIL runs a small sewing business, and thought she could make genuine rabbit fur lined stockings for Christmas.

Great...another project I am going to have to look into that had not crossed my mind yet. Tell your MIL she needs to not share her big ideas! :lol:

Haha, she has a LOT of ideas; it's amazing what she can make on the weekends with a full time job to boot! I can't even begin to guess what she might dream up once she's got some furs under her needle!

If I had the black and white kits when GW Bush was elected, I would have made his secret service agents black and white spotted vests so they would "blend in" instead of stick out in suits :laugh2:
