I thought I'd post pics of this little (we think she is a ) doe as she grows.
Dood suggested she is likely Siamese Sable, so I am watching with great curiosity!

Today at 11 days, eyes are open and the hairs have definite lighter coloured ends.
The base of the toe pads are white-ish and there is a whorl of light hair at the breastbone.

(these are also the fattest kits! only two in the litter!)

THREE WEEKS (and 1 lb!)

And even better... she still seems to be a doe!

This is at 2 weeks~ feet are definitely white on the bottoms and there are little white marks at the junction of each leg with the body....
Points are darker than body which has the brownish hair showing at tips.

What a lovely bunny! I can hardly wait to get Self Sables. I have only Agouti Sables right now. I bred them to a Self buck and by the end of the year, I may have some nice, recognizable-colored angora Sables.

I am loving that you are showing the progress of color change.

One of my favorite colors too, and I enjoy the color changes. My SiSable is still in the gray stage now.

Oooh it looks like she might be a blue sable :p AKA smoke Pearl :)

I hope so. I have wanted smokes for so long, and everything here carries dilute, I just can't seem to get the two genes to pair up. she's taking forever to change.

__________ Fri Jul 31, 2015 10:30 am __________

Larkspur is now 9.5 weeks old, so I thought I would update her color development.
She is a BIG girl (already pushing 5 lbs.), I think she got her sire's chunky Cali genes, so I am excited to see what she might produce.
And she is a nice friendly doe. :)
