Thankfully my daughter woke early in excitement to see the new kits.
But when she got down there one of the kits was on the wire with its head stuck in the mesh between cages.
It's head was in the cage with my 8 week olds so there was no nastiness. Mama kept sitting on it from her side though :x
My daughter had to climb into the big hanging cage and butter up the baby to get him out (via the grow out pen as mama was not letting her in)-- I couldn't reach (hubby made these FG cages too big!).
It took a while to warm it up but it worked and it is doing fine tonight.
Whew.
Never boring!
(I didn't use kit saver wire -- but I did use a shallower nest box this time, so I bumped them into a higher sided one)

-- Fri Jun 05, 2015 7:56 pm --

(and I just went to check everyone and put my FG buck back in his crate for the night to be greeted by the sight of 5 x 8 week old FGs cavorting all around the porch, having escaped their pen, which must have twisted a little when my daughter crawled in this morning~ they were in their pen at 6 for supper, but at 8 they were free with my mercifully good natured buck!)
