No rabbits yet but, I bought a second hand hutch along with a cage and accessories off of FB. Pics in my intro post.
The previous occupant, an 8 year old lop, passed away a couple of years ago and the hutch as been empty since then.
I am replacing the hardware cloth on the floor with .5 x 1 cage wire and removed a wooden shelter area.
Is there some sort of disinfectant I should use or, is just a good hosing down sufficient ?

In that length of time I would hose or pressure wash and probably call it good.

But if you wanted to be extra careful a 10% bleach and water solution in a spray bottle, spray every part until wet and leave to dry naturally, would be the best way to clean it of most pathogens.

A 10% solution means 1 part bleach to 9 parts water, for instance 1 oz bleach to 9 oz water...for the not math inclined. :)

Edit to add: that IS strong enough to ruin your shirt, so wear something you don't care about and don't choose a windy day!
