That would be awesome!!! I was hoping to get a black buck out of a future litter to hold back anyways, you'd be saving me a lot of time and probably frustration (why is it that when you want a kit to be a buck, it's probably a doe? Seems like that happens to me EVERY LITTER...and if I want a doe, IT'S A BUCK. LOL!). Hey will you be at the show in Ionia, June 22nd or 23rd? I'm hoping to make one of the two days.

Oh I know how you feel, happens to me all the time..

I sure will be there, possibly both days.

If you want him your more then welcome to him. I bred him to my black otter doe but i realized a little to late I just really would rather do chocolates then blacks. Go me for choosing the rare less showed colors. He has a nice pedigree, showed him once, i believe proven.

How far are you from pinconning or west branch?

According to Google Maps, I'm a little less than 200 miles away from West Branch.

I'm hoping to have Chocolates as well...though no idea when. I have a friend who is tempting me with a little Chocolate doe, and the buck I'm picking up momentarily carries chocolate, but lord only knows when/if I'll have anything Chocolatey that it worth putting on a judge's table. Because I just learned today that the buck I picked up today will be good for my Blue but won't cross well AT ALL with my BEW...my goal is to put a buck to her to get all VM/VC kits, and hope for a really great (if mismarked) buck to hold back and breed back to the BEW doe, for more BEWs. But the REW buck carries chocolate and he may carry dilute as well, which is apparently bad if crossed into BEW.

And thus my life just got way more complicated LOL. But...if your black buck has no recessives he would be ideal for the BEW project as well as the new otter doe.

Good question, I'm not to sure I really don't work with black genetics or BEW.

But on his dams side there are quite a few himalayan, a blue and black.

His sire black otter, broken blue, broken black.

He is out of a black otter and a black.

I have nothing to mesh him with other then my black otter doe, but I tire of the color already lol.

I live out by port Huron, but travel all over MI frequently. If you were interested I can always find a way to get him to ya.I'll be visiting Kellie who lives in Ithaca.

He is out of The don's lines, Two rivers, Potter's, and Rar's. I thought it was funny cause his sires name was rock star lol.


I'm going to be using my chocolates to get my reds cleaner and brighter, gonna get some culls but talking to some of the other red breeders its the way to go.. Had a nice choc buck but dumb me tattooed in the wrong ear.. ugh making him now unshowable unless it can fade by the time hes a senior.

I'd love to have him...btw, I might be buying a doe from your friend, the very kind gal who sold Rockstar to me...does she live nearby? If there's a way to transport both at the same time that'd be awesome...if not I am trying to get to the June 22-23 show in Ionia and could pick them up there maybe...?

She lives in Ithaca, so still a drive for me but the three of us can work something out.

I'd be willing to deliver for you, when I get some gas in my car, it's really not a big deal. You probably live what three-four hours form me. I call that a nice MI drive! lol So that would have to be next month anyhow. I'll be at the June show on the 23rd, I have a baby shower and a wedding on the 22nd.
