Hello everyone! I am planning to pick up a few carriers at my next show. How much shouId i expect them to be? I want to make sure I bring enough cash!

Depends on the vendor. Usually between 30-50 depending what you are getting. If you pre-order from the vendor, they usually give you a discount and nice little extras :) (Atleast mines does! They are so sweet!) You might be able to find some breeders selling some. I always bring like $300 with me to be on the safe side. I usually end up picking supplies I realize I really need.

Tip: crocks & water bottles. You can never have enough.

Price around with a few online vendors, and be sure to check based upon the size and number of holes, as well as plain wire or vinyl wire.

The plain jane wire carriers are usually less expensive, but by looking at a few websites ahead of time, you'll have an idea of whether or not the vendor is too high on their prices or not.

The vendors who make their own carriers are usually a bit less expensive, but it can vary as to what they charge.

I got a four hole carrier, blue coated wire, large enough for 10lb rabbits, for $40 from Martin's Cages. I got a single hole carrier, no frills, for $20 at some other show.

Find out the vendors that are going to be at the show, and the suggestion to pre order is a very good one.

I believe that's the same carriers I have - The Martin four hole carrier with space in center for hay and a plastic pan instead of metal like a lot of them have. Mine is black coated wire. I really like them, although I think I paid about 45 or so for them.

I purchased a 4 hole carrier with metal pan for dwarf sized rabbits in Febuary for $35.00.
I didn't think it was too bad, since the metal pans are usually 10.00 by themselves, and the dividers were solid metal and not wire.

At home, I was able to purchase a couple of used pans for 10.00 each, and built carry cages for 2 E-lop sized bunnies using scrap wire, since I build all my own cages.
