So I had an older litter that needed butchering. Obviously I was overfeeding them based on the FAT both inside and outside the body.
I didn't weigh each one before or after butchering. I parted everything out after I cooled it all down in ice water.
5 pounds 12 ounces of Kickers
4 pounds 1 ounce of Loins
3 pounds 5 ounces of Paws
4 pounds 12 ounces of "extra meat and fat" for sausage
3 pounds 15 ounces of bones for stock
So I got 21.8 pounds of usable material!
That is not counting the organs which is 1 pound 3 ounces for livers, hearts and kidneys.
Not bad for a couple hours work! Not bad at all!
